I hope to learn more about emerging technologies that will enhance my ability to work with (and learn from) students that know much more than me, and also to help support a staff that feels as lost as I do at times.

Sheila, I find I get carried away with impulsive searches too...when I see something, I follow the info. However,I often learn something new or find something that can lead to interesting conversations. I have to learn to better use my time otherwise I'm afraid the real business of learning may suffer. I can see why students are on the computer for such lenthy time (unless that really is just "im" and utube, etc.

I have used the entire day playing around with setting up my blog and doing the first few lessons. I am so non-tech savy, but had so much fun doing what little I did. I agree with Bette, kids can get lost in cyberspace.
